Daron, Addy and I went to my office a few Sundays ago (before football of course) and visited the bridge where the Lone Ranger is filmed say "Hi Oh Silver and Away". The bridge isn't much of a bridge anymore you can see what is left on the left there. But it is still a beautiful area that overlooks Angel Canyon. I have found pottery shards and people have found arrow heads from the Anastazi Indians.

Addy met 7 boxer puppies that a friends parents had. Addy was tickled when she saw them yesterday. She giggled and giggled. So today Daron and I went back to catch the giggling on video. Silence. Silence. Silence. We took some video but there was no giggling going on! Figures!

Addy looks like she is saying "Hey buddy why aren't you looking at me?" when she is actually thinking "I can't wait til I can throw rubber pieces too! I wonder what they taste like...."

Addy's Play Dates at the Park

Luckily, in Kanab we have a beautiful park. There are always families or mothers and babies hanging out at the playground. No thugs, no teens with pants hanging down to their knees, no dirty looks. It is fabulous.

Addy loves it because she loves to watch the older kids play and she giggles when she sees a person her size. In fact, a few weeks ago she met a 7 month old boy and we stood them in front of one another. Addy squealed and flapped her arms and the little boy... well he started to cry. What a wimp! Anyhow, she seemed pretty interested in Harry. Unfortunately, Harry was only interested in the rubber ground cover! Meadow's mom and I had lunch many times while we were pregnant. We were due the same day. Addy came two weeks early and Meadow came right on time. We can never get very good photos because we are always juggling kids but Harry's mom took these and they are great! Thanks Jill.

Addy loves her "Bob" baby jogger from Mom and Dad in Texas. She is sporting some sunglasses from a friends birthday party. She is very serious about her walks. As you can see Dad we have kept the grass alive!!!!!!!!

Daron takes care of Jon and Jaime's cats and sometimes dogs when they go out of town. They went to Austin, TX - Whooo Hoooo - and brought him back an awesome jersey. Needless to say, his Raiders jerseys are looking a bit worn. Zeena scored too with a fancy UT collar. New Pillows from Mom and Dad in Florida.

Addy and Sadie Fast Friends

It didn't take long for Addy and Sadie to become friends and when Addy is in her roller cart they are about the same size! The photo of Addy pointing makes me think she is playing teacher and Sadie is the student.

I did realize that both Sadie and Addy like to stretch out on the blanket in the office. Between Sadie and Addy I do get some work done - really. Don't worry I keep a close eye on the two of them as we all know you should never leave a baby with a dog unattended. Actually, we can't really leave Sadie unattended in the office. She crawled her short little self up the cat tower and ate the cat food off of the kitchen counter! Yikes. What was more amazing was watching her scurry down when I caught her. I have never had a Basset Hound but I have to admit they are quite the characters. You know how some people have "work" husbands or a "work" wife. Well I seem to have a "work" dog! Works out great for all of us.

Sadie is such a Lady!

I have a new dog, an office dog that is! Our office neighbor is a founder who has many rescued dogs at her house. One day while I was out on a walk with my coworkers we heard a dog fight and poor Sadie was being attacked by some of the dogs in her run. There was a new, rather aggressive dog in the run (who has since been returned to a Sanctuary run) that seemed to instigate the whole ordeal. I ran in there - hoping that none of these dogs were people aggressive - and got her to a safe spot with the help of my coworkers. Lucky for me none of the dogs were people aggressive. Whew! Sadie's neck and hind end were really torn up but after surgery she is recovering well. I love Sadie and asked if I could have her in the office when I come in. So now we have a loveable Bassett Hound named Sadie that visits us on Tuesday and Thursdays and Saturdays!

Luckily, Grandpa Andrews had some time away from working on the studio to care for Addyson and take a refreshing break! One thing Addy loves about her Grandpa is that he sings to her and she loves that!

Daron and David not only put in windows but insulated the building, installed outlets and electricity and framed the windows. I have primed the window frames and trim but I haven't had enough time to finish the

Grandpa and Grammy Andrews came to visit us (actually Addy) for two weeks. We had such a great time. Addy loves her grandparents and was all smiles the whole time they were here. Grammy made fantastic suppers night after night and Darons Dad got worked to death (as usual). As many of you know, I have wanted an art studio "A room of my own" for a long time. I finally decided that a normal shed that I could add to and work on would be perfect. So Daron, being the fabulous husband that he is, surprised me by having a shed delivered to the house one day while I was at work. The best part, Darons Dad who is so amazingly talented and skilled was here. Daron's parents gave me my birthday money early and took Addy to St. George to buy windows for the studio. Talk about nice, wonderful and terrific. They are amazing. Addy is so lucky to have two sets of amazing grandparents (Daron and I are very lucky too). Look closely at the shed because in the next photos it will look completely different.

So it appears that my dad is a little better shot than me with his dad's old .22....

Addy's Mimi and Grandpa had to go back home last week. Addy and her parents were thrilled to have them visit for 9 weeks! Addyson was absolutely smitten with her Grandpa he better watch his wallet when she starts shopping! Addyson was equally infatuated with Mimi and her great taste in hotels! She misses them but knows they will return - soon we hope! Daron and I learned a lot about caring for Miss Addy from my parents and had a hot dinner and clean laundry every night when we got home. Now I see why people have multiple children... Just kidding!
Addyson stays home with Daddy on Tuesdays and Thursdays but on Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoons she and her Mommy go up to the Best Friends Humane Education office. We could work from home but Addy loves to take a drive and visit Glen, Sandy and Barbara at the office. Besides someone has to take the meeting minutes on Mondays! Sandy even brought a rocking chair in for Addy and her Mom to use! The pack and play is a permanent fixture now and the office cat, Spotty, is still trying to figure out what exactly Addy is! Spotty is use to people bringing their pets to work but a human baby has really thrown him for a loop!

TA DA - It's Addy!

I don't know how Daron and I created such a good looking baby but I am sure glad we did! Addyson is just over 5 months and changing every day. She cracks up at Zeena and loves to play peek a boo. She can entertain herself for hours with her toes! Although she's a good sleeper Daron and I are still walking around like Zombies. In fact, my Mom and Dad, Daron and Addy met me up at Best Friends for lunch and Daron poured himself a glass of water. My Dad was patiently waiting for the caraf so he could pour himself some water. Daron started drinking out of the caraf. If you could have seen the look on my Dad's face - priceless. It was a mix between "What the hell are you doing and I hope no one else is seeing this!" Yes, the beverly hillbillys have arrived folks. I can't blame him though. When you are sleep deprived you forget all sorts of things.
