School Library Story Choice
So this is the first time I had to go to the school to complain about something. Addy was scared last night and she said that during their library visit they read a scarey book. She started crying and said she didn't want her head to fall off. WHAT?!?!?!?!?
Needless to say I marched myself down to the library and asked to see the book. I happened to run into another mother who's daughter also said how scarey it was. We saw the book that "they read every year" to the kids. I was mortified when she showed us the book. This girl with a green ribbon around her neck meets a boy, gets married, gets sick, her husband or doctor take off the ribbon and her head falls off. THE END.
I then talked to her teacher who we love and he said he had no idea what the librarian read but when the kids came back to class they were all scared and freaked out. I plan to ask the principal not to read that one anymore. We are in Utah for goodness sake! I guess there is no coffee and no drinking but decapitation is ok!

Stupid People, Media Manipulation

OMG I am so sick of stupid people. If a police officer asks you to get out of the car do not grab for something under the seat, behind the seat, in your pocket. Police officers have families. They don't want to get shot doing a job that they don't get paid enough to do. In addition, they don't want to hear your attitude and bull shit about "oh he might shoot me." If you follow the rules all should go smoothly. (I know there are a few exceptions). Whatever. Don't use your children as an excuse. If three police officers ask you to get out of the car and you do not they SHOULD bust out your window and Taser your ass. What if they just said "gee you won't get out of the car. Ok. go on have a nice day" and then you drove down the road and shot some people, ran over school kids or whatever. Then all we would hear is "why didn't the police do more?" No one can frickin win. Instead you act like a three year old. You ARE Ignorant. With a capital I. Whine about how awful it was and how it damaged your children. Next time get out of the damn car, show your license and explain that you are going to the hospital. It takes less times and it is safer for everyone involved.
