So I told Daron that he could have the downstairs living room to be his man cave.  Decorate it however you want I said. Well he hasn't done anything with it yet and I am getting antsy so I am painting some of the walls grey.  Poor Daron. Well I told him it could be raider grey and he could pick out the grey.  That's nice isn't it?

The rose bushes in our front yard are going crazy.  They are amazing and I cut a few. I couldn't cut the prettiest ones though.  Silly I know. Next fall I have to do a better job pruning the bushes.

Daron turns 39 and Mother's Day at Preschool

Daron and Addy or should I say Addy decided that Daddy wanted a gorilla cake for his birthday. I agreed but once we started created his chocolate cake with ice cream in the middle we decided that a gorilla ATTACKED the cake instead of the cake resembling a gorilla. She agreed and seemed happy with it - sheeew! It didn't look very pretty but it was good.

the moms were treated to a makeover by their little one in honor of Mother's Day.  It was fun and funny.  Some mothers looked like clowns with red cheeks and blue eyes.  I brought fairly neutral colors so my makeup was more natural.  Addy painted my nails on one hand and then insisted she do her nails.  She also wanted some make up on.  I think I was the only mother applying makeup to their daughter. I did however see a little boy applying make up to himself.  So cute!  Addy's best friend Cedar put grey/blue shadow on her moms eyes and nose.  She was adamant about doing the nose!  I decided not to take a photo - tempting as it was!

Moab Mini vacation in July - planning and ideas

I have always wanted to go to Moab. I remember seeing a photo of Moab in high school and wanting to move to Utah. A few friends got a permit to go down the river in a river raft and they will camp one night. Unfortunately you can't get to the campsite via roads only by water. Therefore, Daron is going to go on the river and I am going to take Addy to the shops, restaurants, pool, river and stay in a hotel. I wanted to river raft but only one day. Daron likes water way more than me so he should have a good time. I am keeping a list of things I might want to do on the blog so I don't loose it~ Day Time Jetboat This four hour excursion is the best trip for photographers. Growing up we spent weekends and holidays with Uncle Mel, Aunt Pam, Kristyn and Jon. In fact I remember the day that Jonathan was born! We spent Thanksgivings together and snow days together. I always considered Uncle Mel and Aunt Pam my second set of parents. Daron and I hope we can find a family that we can hang out with like the Nagle's and the Wheelers did. This May Kristyn got married and although we couldn't make it my parents did! I love the photos. We do plan to go to Jon's wedding in August in Sonoma, California. We can't wait!

One of our first roses

Addy and I went to a birthday party at the park yesterday for one of her friends. After the art project, hot dogs, pinata and cake it was time to open  gifts.  After the little girl opened Addy's gift Addy decided to focus on the ants who were busy carrying crumbs back to their home. We were watching and commenting when all of a sudden this little girl maybe 3 yrs old came up and started stepping on them.  I told her were were watching them and asked her not to step on them.  Addy didn't say anything but crouched down to concentrate on one of the ants carrying a HUGE crumb.  When the little girl came by she used her hand to block the girls  foot not saying a word.

Daron found a way to make a live roach catcher.  Addy was excited and she caught two roaches the first night.  After that night she caught a minimum of 20 or 30.  YUCK!  She takes them and dumps them out to the chickens who are SO happy. Oh we have video let me tell you.  It is something that nightmares are made of! Ha.  I will have Daron post one.

Addy is much braver than her Daddy.  This was at Zoe's birthday party at Angel's Landing.  I could only put this little clip up because of size limitations, but she was INCREDIBLE and just a natural singing this Adele hit.  Proud Papa!!!
