Addy was an angel when we went out to breakfast. We all ate at the same time! Prior to the meal she and Mimi sang songs and the photo is Addy saying "I'm Queen of the world!" (ok,she can't talk yet so Mimi said it for her!) . During breakfast, we all agreed that Addy is the 25 inch ruler!
Grandpa had a great time visiting the old Western Movie Sets. Our landlord actually owns Movie Town which is about a mile from the house. I think Granpa would have made a great cowboy.

Addy was checking out every part of her new bouncy seat that her Dad got her. She wasn't quite sure what to make of it. She wore her pink and brown guitar moccasins from Auntie Karen!
Addy, who is now 5 months old has decided that the bouncy seat is pretty great. Doesn't she look like she is saying "Thank you Daddy I wuv you" She is also excited to know that her Daddy will be home Tuesdays and Thursdays and her Mommy will be home with her Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In fact, my office has made an Addy Room and I plan to take her up for 1/2 days on Wednesdays and maybe Fridays. We'll see how she likes the office, I am more concerned that she might fuss and irritate my coworkers. If she does I guess we will just head back to the house and I will work from there!

One of Addy's first friends visited her this week. The little girl named Joi (I think) is 3 1/2 months old. Stacie (her mom) and I were in prenatal classes together. We feel very lucky to have had easy labors and beautiful healthy girls. We both decided that we LOVE epidurals, too!
Grandpa Nagle met one of his hero's this past weekend at Western Legends. His name is Hugh O'Brian and he starred in a variety of movies including Wyatt Earp. Hugh signed a photo to Grandpa and nicknamed him Top Gun. He must have known Grandpa appreciates a nice glock either that or he saw the size of my Dads biceps or "guns" as some folks call them. As for the old couple in front of Hugh - I have no idea who they are!
Mimi, looking stunning as usual, got a photo taken with Ed Faulkner who has been in RawHide, Have Gun...Will Travel,The Shakiest Gun in the West, and Bonanza to name a few! I think Ed was as tickled to have his photo with Mom as she was with him. They also saw Clint Walker who has not only done a bunch of westerns but comedy, drama and adventure movies.

Turn up your volume and try not to smile.

Addy just loves loves loves of all things carrots... She also shows an affinity for green beans, peas, long walks up to the cemetary in her Bob carriage, and long swings with her Mimi and Mommy at the park. But carrots really sent her over the top the first time she tried them. The little baby spoon just couldn't get it to her efficiently enough so she just grabbed the bowl and went to town!

I cannot believe that Mom and Dad are heading back to Florida in less than two weeks. They have spoiled Daron and I by taking care of Addy, doing laundry, taking care of the yard and cooking dinner every single night! That is only a few things that they have done for us. One neat thing they have been able to do on their trips back and forth is visit my Mom's Cousin Maureen and her family in Pheonix AZ. Here a couple of pictures of their recent visits with Maureen, Michael, Zach and Andrea.
We hope that one day they will be able to make the trek here to Kanab and Best Friends as they are HUGE animal lovers.

Addy enjoyed watching the Pow Wow and meeting Daron's coworkers and friends. Unfortunatley, she cried when Tim held her but otherwise she was quite the trooper!

Addyson is eating baby food now thanks to Mimi. She seems to like peas and green beans but not the sweet stuff like pears and peaches. That's my girl! Mimi and Grandpa have introduced her to the city park where she has had a blast swinging. In fact, Mimi wanted Daron and I to go and see how much she enjoyed the swing. She was so tired by the time Daron got home from work that she almost fell asleep in the swing! Mimi and I have been taking her to the city pool and she loves it. The photos above however are from our trip to The Wynn hotel in Vegas. She isn't even 5 months old and she is leaning forward to swim.

Every now and then I have to add a heartwarming story about a furry baby! Riley has been here since before I started working here at the sanctuary and the little dog caught my eye and I had to share his story. Addy has made her first trip to Vegas, and I think she loved it! As a gift from Mimi and Grandpa Nagle (a very gracious gift indeed) we took the family to Vegas for a 3 night stay at the Wynn Casino and hotel. It appears that for a 5 month old Vegas is one really cool experience with all the noises, lights, faces, and yes, THE POOL!! Addy hardly cried one time while we were there, and she was the main attraction at the pool. People sure are nicer to you when you have a cute little baby girl with you... Jen and I were also treated to a great show, "Le Reve" at the Wynn. Jennifer loved the "man tree" and I wanted to get in and dive with the performers. Mary and Brian went to "Jersey Boys" and totally loved it, and I believe they would HIGHLY recommend it to future Vegas visitors. Here are a few pics, mostly at the pool.

Addy's Personal Trainer

Well, Grandpa has been Addy's personal trainer for the past month. She seems to not only love watching Grandpa doing his pilates but she likes taking part in the action. She is building up her muscles so she can start crawling early!

Addy LOVES the pool. Looking pool ready in her fabulous hat she patiently awaits her pool debut! Her first visit was with her Mimi and Father. Then I got to go with Addy and Mimi. It was so cool.























Addy LOVES LOVES LOVES her Aunt Lisa. She immediately took to her (which if any of you know Lisa it is no surprise) and would watch her and grin constantly. Lisa checked her email with Addy and she was thrilled just to be sitting next to her. Look at how her little feet are crossed. What a doll!




























Addy is quite smitten with her Grandpa. In fact, he has been doing pilates with her for the past few weeks. Mimi took some great photos of their training session which deserves a section all its own. So stay tuned for the pilates update.
























Last Saturday we attended Tibetan Chandts and Meditations for Healing with monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery. Following the September 11th tragedy the monks began offering these special healing ceremonies wherever they went on thier Mystical Arts of Tibet Tour. For an extra special touch the animals were invited to come and they performed a special prayer for them.






















Lisa and I had a chance to go to Zion and hike Angels Landing. After an hour and a half of hiking up, up and up we came to the last half mile. The last half mile was a narrow spine with a chain in the middle to hold onto. We were already about 1000 feet up and the last half mile would have taken us up to 1500 feet with no, absolutely no safety railings. Just a sheer drop off. There were tons of tourist doing this, many with out proper shoes and with no or little water. Amazingly enough only 5 people have fallen to their death in the past 10 years. Some man even took his 5 year old girl up there. There were California Condors hanging out on top of the highest point (they look kind of like turkey vultures) and we joked they were waiting for the carnage. Wondering if they were going to have Chinese, American or French cuisine tonight. Lisa and I decided we had too much to live for and turned around! We got a great 3 hour hike without the risk of falling to our death and ruining Lisa's vacation.























Daron, Lisa and I went to Casino night hosted by Best Friends. It was actually pretty cool since they rented authentic tables. Not to toot my own horn but I did pretty well in Texas Hold'em. The pilot for Best Friends, Juliette, is good friends with Lisa and she was a dealer on Casino night. She also came over for dinner one evening and we took a few photos!
