Addyson and her buddy Isabella attended Fredonia, AZ Library Reading Hour. They thought it was great (and so did the Mommies). After listening to the stories they made Valentines Day cards and decorated brownies.

She seemed intrigued with a little boy who brought her a stool to sit on. So sweet.

I got two packages from Mimi and Papa and one from Auntie Karen!Cookie Monster socks that she is wearing are from Karen, Puzzle and A your Adorable book is from MiMi. Below Addy gets a journal from my Dad (her PaPa) that has photographs from their visit last summer.

Jan 31, 2010 Yes our 22 month old daughter has shingles. It sucks. She cannot tell us specifically when she is in pain although she does yell "noooo" when (we assume) she is hurting. She had a stomach bug in December and a cold in January so I am assuming her immune system was weak. She never has had chicken pox but she did have the vaccine in June. Hmmm. The dermatologist gave her an antiviral medication but she threw it up so we have been giving her childrens tylenol for the pain. I think it helps a little. She can at least get a few hours of sleep. I also spoke with our pediatrician since everyone told us "She cannot have shingles." The pediatrician didn't think she had it but saw the photos and changed her mind. It is a classic case. The rash didn't seem to bother her it was the underlying pain that was the worst.

Mom and Tots - Kids in Motion
I am so glad that our Mom and Tots class is growing. The kids are having SO much fun (and the moms too). Addyson is a true dancer. She loves dancing around the room to the music and every evening she tells Daron and I "up" which means get your butt up and dance with me. Luckily, Daron is a great DJ and we dance for at least 30 minutes. I am using the word Dance loosely if you saw me dance you would know that Addy got her musical ability from the Andrews side of the family!

Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow! I cannot believe all the snow we have gotten. Today it snowed ALL day and is still snowing. It is beautiful but I am really looking forward to hiking in the sun and pushing Addy in the baby jogger.

Addy and I went to the Humane Ed office today to say Hi and catch up. Addy got into the Beanie Baby pile and decided to take 5 teddy bears on a walk.

Addy entertaining the cats at Best Friends and visiting Angel the lap cat. She eventually got too hot with the big furry cat on her lap and we had to move Angel!

Addy loves doing her chores. Feeding the chickens, getting Zeena and kitty (or as Addy says TiTi) fresh water and feeding the kitty cat are all on the list. She of course is a Raiders fan.

What can you do when the weather is crummy and you are bored inside?
Make Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies! Addy is a pro at pouring. She doesn't like to eat the cookies but she does like the chocolate chips.

Today we went to lunch in Mt. Carmel. It's about a fifteen minute drive that is beautiful. Daron had his camera and I was keeping a look out for raptors. I spotted a golden eagle almost immediately. Then we spotted some sort of hawk. Then we spotted a beautiful bald eagle! On the way back from lunch we saw the same bald eagle with (what we believe to be) a female bald eagle. It was so amazing. After taking a few more photos we saw another bald eagle high on a treetop and another hawk. Thank goodness there were no deer out because I was looking up much of the drive.

I only wish my floors were as clean as the ones
at the cat houses at Best Friends! Angel, the beautiful black cat, is up for adoption and LOVES to sit on laps and bury his head in your arm. We also headed to the Rewind Diner for lunch with Medha and Kim. As soon as we walked in we saw Lisha and her sister and kids! Addy decided to sit with them so I took a picture from my booth. Ahh she is so grown up!

Today Addy and I went up to Best Friends to
walk with Kim. We saw Deer and Ravens but
no bald eagles. Bummer. Addy got to feed her
buddy Frasier a treat or two and then we visited
the cats that live in Morgan's Place (one of the
Best Friends cat houses).
