Lousiville Wedding SO Much Fun!

I cannot tell you how much fun Daron, Addy and I had in Louisville for Lisa and Jennifer's Wedding Celebration. Addy could not get enough of Lisa, Jennifer and their dogs. It was the first vacation when she never asked when we were going home! We really loved meeting their friends and Jens family. Daron was in heaven with all of the football fanatics! At the end of the last night there Daron said "We have an awesome family." It was great to just relax and be ourselves. So many of Lisa's friends shared just how special she is and it was so great to hear people love her as much as we do!  I am so happy to have Jen as my sister in law.  Couldn't ask for a sweeter more generous person.  Jen and Lisa are such a wonderful couple.  Both families have embraced the other and it was wonderful to be a part of the celebration.  Addy got to go for a ride in the patrol car and she loved it.  Daron and I asked Lisa and Jen to take care of Addy if anything were to happen to us and during this visit we knew we made the right decision.  We were hoping she would want to come home with us~ LOL.  I think Addy loved all the attention from Dan, Daron and Greg.  Greg who fit in with our family quickly!  My moms college roommate Cathi and her husband hosted my parents during the visit and invited the families to an amazing meal on Friday.  We are planning to head back this summer and enjoy their new house and pool ;)  Congrats girls we love you.

Mom's on the Mend!

Mom has a little fracture in one of her vertebrae and Lisa and Dan came to the rescue!  Helping with hospital visits, getting Dad fed (very important!), doctor visits and mundane things like laundry and cooking.  Mom was able to take a well deserved break!  I am hoping to get out there in the future and give her some much needed R and R.

August and Snails

So I look out the window and see this. "We are selling snails. We have way too many!" Says the girl who is afraid of moths and butterflies.  They sold two for 15 cents each!

While this was going on in Utah my Mom was protesting in Florida! There will be no ten story buildings in their town.  Or was it 100 stories?  I don't remember but the  highest in town is 3 stories now so anything higher is ridiculous.  Money hungry corporations! I have a meeting on Tuesday to protest a 4 story building with a huge sign on top.

So a Salt Lake News station just reported on the "Homeless Convention" in Iowa where wanderers get around by hitching rides on freight trains.  They went on to say they use the annual gathering to make new friends, ways to make money and ways to find food.  Daron Andrews and I were like what? So I googled it and whoever wrote that piece did a terrible job. It's a Hobo Convention and yes there is a difference.
