October was a beautiful month. We had a photoshoot with photographer Molly and she captured some great shots of Addy and the grandparents. Addy enjoyed trick or treating and her buddy Isabella was a bee. Addy has been reading and singing to her little buddy Bindi the cat. She knows moon and stars, trees and poop (hey when you have animals you have poop!) and many other things. Mom thinks there is a conspiracy going on to keep her from sleeping. Either Addy, Daron, Bindi or Zeena do something every two to three hours at night to waker her up! However, I just finished a grueling 40 hour work week (some of the hours with Addy in the backpack) as I helped run the How to Start an Animal Sanctuary workshop. Now I am working 5 hours a week and dedicating my time to being a stay at home mom! Here's hoping that my sleep improves and the house runs more smoothly!

Grammy and Grampa Andrews sadly are headed back to Texas today after a great week of Addy time. It seemed from the very start that Addy knew that these are her grandparents. It's kind of the first time that happened so instantaneously. She never let them sit down without bringing a book (nursery rhymes with illustrations) and crawling up into their lap. The break was much appreciated, and we're all going to miss them!
 

The weather is cooling off and all of the trees leaves have turned a vibrant yellow. When the sun hits the red rock it is absolutely gorgeous. Addy, Zeena and I have been taking morning hikes. Addy loves to look at rocks, flowers an birds. Zeena loves and needs to get all of her energy out on her morning runs. Here are a few photos from yesterdays outing. Addy is wearing her new fuzzy coat from Mimi and she looks adorable in it. I am transitioning from working full time to staying home full time with Addy. The days I was working from home were getting more difficult since Addy is only napping one or two hours a day! It's worked out well because now I have time to plan and cook meals and when I am with Addy I am not stressed out about getting all my work hours done! Daron will transition from working MWFR to working 5 days a week. He will miss his days home with Addy but I told him he could have all day Saturday and Sunday - Ha!

Sunday Addy and I went to pick up Sadie at Best Friends and spend an hour at Angels Landing. Addy threw rocks in the water and had a good time running through the grass.

Aunt Lisa sent us a package of goodies and Addy got an Old Navy hat along with a football Sunday outfit. She LOVES it. I need to get a better picture but here she is watching Daddy leave and trying on her hat. She looks adorable in the her new outfit.

Uncle Steve is visiting from Austin, Texas so we took Addy to Zion where she and Steve had a wonderful time!

The first day Steve was here we took Addy to the local Park. When Steve rolled down the grassy hill they were instant friends!

Moms Day Out - Lake Powell, AZ 2009

I finally went boating on Lake Powell and it was awesome! The red rocks and blue skies and blue water were amazing.
Daron stayed home with Addyson ( and Sunday football) while I had a day with friends. The houseboat below had a helicopter land on it while we were out there. Must be nice to have so much money to throw away! Ha.

Sunday morning we all went for a hike out at BF. Jennifer picked up her little buddy Sadie and we hit the dirt trail. Addy never even got in the back pack! She walked the whole time, and in that sand it ain't easy. She's growing too fast...

Addy went putting with me this morning and had a great time chasing my missed putts and trying to make a few of her own! Look out Tiger...
