Bathing suits, chocolate chip cookies and I read to animals at the library

Addy and I got on our new bikinis texted friends to meet us at the pool got there and it was Closed due to broken plastic in the lazy river. Everyone went to the park to run through the water feature. It wasn't ideal but it worked.  McKenna and Addy making homemade cookies. Taking Opal to the library so kids could read to her.  She loooved it.  She can't see the kids but when she hears them she gets excited. She enjoyed the stories and the belly rubs.  Reading to the pot bellied pig was the highlight though!

Zion Swimmin' Hole

Rachel organized a trip to the Zion swimming hole.  It isn't advertised and it is considered a secret place. I have always wondered where it was so I was anxious to go.  It was refreshing and nice.  Rachel, Kristen and I had a nice swim and then went to Springdale to eat! That was the best. 

Ten Year Wedding Anniversary to the Rock!

TEN YEARS! Ten of the easiest and most wonderful years of my life. If you know Daron you know I am telling the truth. He is so amazing, honest, devoted, sensitive,powerful, strong and on and on I could go. The truth is I want the best for him and he wants the best for me and we both want the best for our daughter.

The Andrews Grandparents return from Hawaii

David and Paula went back to Hawaii this month.  They had initially gone for their honeymoon.  They brought back a beautiful dress for Addyson with a matching hair flower and necklace.  I got an awesome cd from a Hawaiin group that I will be using for my yoga class. We also got two bags of wonderful Hawaiin coffee. Daron got his Raiders jersey but he has had strep throat so no photos yet!  We are glad they are home safe now.

Krauss at Best Friends isn't paralyzed but cannot walk. He came is as a puppy with neurological problems. He still gets his daily "walk" and has many vets working with him!

A day at the office...

After agonizing over where to put the pond Daron finally decided on the spot. As soon as he built it it was full of plastic toys and kids!  He let the kids get in until the fish and plants went in.  Now the plants and fish are in so no more swimming. It has been a source of relaxation with the sound of the waterfall and it sure makes going into the art studio nice.

Art Show Sale
So the art show had been hung for ONE DAY and Addy got an offer on her rooster painting. 
I asked her if she would sell it and she said "there is absolutely no way I will sell it."  I told her that someone wanted to buy it because they liked it so much.  "Let's get prints made" Addy responded very matter of fact.  Why did I not think of that!

I asked her before the show if she wanted to paint a new picture for the show and she said  "NO, are you sad that I don't paint anymore because I get too frustrated"  she was spot on. If any part of the painting doesn't turn out like she wants she cries and refused to stop and take a break which only results in more frustration and tears.  Where does she get this from!?!?!?!  Ha ha. 


June 11
When I pulled up in the driveway today Addy was looking forlorn.  I asked her what was wrong and I started pulling weeds in the lawn.  
"What happened to the tall grass on the side of the house that the lady bugs used to live in?" Addy asked.

"Well those were foxtail weeds and Daddy mowed them down." Yup I threw Dad under the bus. Actually, I didn't I explained that the foxtails were dangerous to dogs and we couldn't let them grow. Then I said, "There is a tree stump there so Daddy couldn't mow them so maybe they didn't grow this year."

She didn't buy it she said "They grew I can tell someone chopped them down."  I mumbled something about the weed whacker and reiterated that they are dangerous for the dogs....

I said "I am sorry about this let's see if there are some lady bugs in the rose bushes.   Are you feeling OK Addy?" She had been on antibiotics and gets emotional when she is sick. 

She thought about this and said "I am just really disappointed" as a small tear rolled down her cheek. 

Damn she is good.

Jennifer and Addy's ART SHOW!

Addy and I are having an art show at the Healing Hearts Gallery.  I hung the art work yesterday and this morning I received a message asking if Addy wanted to sell her rooster painting.  Addy said no way she would sell it but that she would sell prints.  I didn't even think of that! duh!
