Addy's Fashion Show Party

The last week of school Addyson told me that she wanted to have a fashion show party in five weeks. She told me exactly how she was going to make the invitations and how the girls would bring their favorite dress and high heels. She also had the music they would use to walk down the runway (which would be in the living room). In addition, she told me that they would do their hair in the bathroom, their makeup in the bedroom and dressing/runway prep would take place in the laundry room. She also said they would decorate cookies and cupcakes. It was important to have cookies because one of the girls didn't like frosting. Needless to say it was an easy party to throw. I just contacted the Moms and bought the supplies!

Chase & Baby Bird

My wonderful sister Lisa lost her side kick, Chase. Chase had a wonderful, spoiled, amazing, adventurous life with Lisa 9 1/2 years and passed away in her arms on July 12. The morning Chase passed away my sister looked out the window and saw a neighbors garage was on fire. Lisa was able to call 911 and the fire department was able to keep multiple fences, houses and garages from burning. She is surely an angel now!

While waiting for Daron to bring me the hose so I could give the neighbor dog fresh water I heard a rustling in the ground cover.  I thought for sure it was a lizard but soon realized it was a baby bird.  Daron got a ladder, I climbed the ladder but couldn't fit my hand underneath our roof tile which was were the nest is.  Addy got me a spoon and toilet paper.  I was able to put him on a spoon and place him in the nest.  He was so wiggly and active that he kept coming out of the nest.  To keep him in I stuffed the entrance with toilet paper.  Mama could still get in but babies couldn't fall out. I saw Mama feeding her and I could hear the baby chirping.

Addy found a turtle in our street and we took it to a pond that had one turtle.  Needless to say the turtle was happy to have a friend!

Addy's Musical Theater

Addy participated in a musical theater camp for three days and they had a performance on the last night.  It was four hours a day and she was pretty tired at the end of the three days!  She did SO good. A friend said she was the only one she could here in the back of the theater.  She projects and memorizes her lines really well and has the acting part down! Daron and I are so proud of her!

Addy's Kindergarten Circus Performance

Addy participated in three of the circus acts.  She was a tight rope walker, a bare back horse rider and a juggler.  It was really a cute performance and I was glad that she was in so many acts.  There were ten acts and all the acts had a poem the kids recited before their act.  A handful of the parents had participated in the same circus when they went to Kanab Elementary!  It was too cute.

Spring Updates

Miss Addyson and her buddy Samantha have 15 days left as Kindergarteners.  Wow. Wow. Wow. My little Kanab Elementary Buckaroo is growing up fast.  Paula and David sent us this beautiful photo from their house in Texas.  Look at thos flowers!   They will be here for Mother's Day and for Addys spring dance recital next weekend.  

Dan was kind enough to snap a photo of my mom in the midst of packing for her 26 day cruise where she will finally visit Spain, Scotland and ...drumroll please...IRELAND!!!   WooooHoooo. She is heading home to the motherland.  I hope she and my dad have a safe and fun and spiritual visit!   A big thank you to my fabulous sister Lisa and Jen C's favorite jewelry for sending me a bracelet to brighten my day.   It worked.
