Happy 2nd Birthday to our Beautiful Daughter Addyson!
Addy had a Elmo themed birthday party with some of her friends. The weather was AWESOME close to 70 degrees! Mommy made elmo cake suckers. They turned out interesting ;) Luckily, Addyson knew they were Elmos!

Well, my mom, Mary, has gotten into city politics! You might ask what prompted her to get involved. It was the "Moving the Police Dept. out of the heart of Boynton Beach issue". It was an incredible plan that would only benefit the developer who made the offer of space in his existing partly empty, brand new building in Renaissance Common that sparked her involvement. Can you imagine a police dept. on the third floor of a fancy building with nice eateries? I think not! My mom is a natural because Rodriguez won!!!!!!!!! Whoo Hooo - go MoM!

Addy, my friend Kim and I went to St. George yesterday. We had to pick up all of our supplies at Walmart. You know the usual toilet paper, can goods, cleaning products and stuff. Kim had a Dr.'s appt. so Addy and I enjoyed the 58 degree weather and played at a nearby park. Addy had a great time. After that we went to Twenty Five Main for lunch and a cupcake. It was cute and the food was ok but it didn't blow us away. Luckily, there are many little cafe's in the area so we will try them all. Since Addy was tired from her time at the park we enjoyed a nice lunch. Addy got her own drink and stayed in her seat the whole time! Joy!!

All the kids are starting to get into the routine at the Kids Movement Class. Addy loves to dance around and occasionally she will let out a scream or two. "Head, Shoulder, Knees and Toes" is a favorite song and dance as is pretending to be animals and crawling around on the floor. Addy is such a caregiver. she makes sure the dog and cat are fed and have fresh water and loves feeding the chickens. She even started checking for eggs - I don't think the chicken was quite done laying it though! We made homemade clay and Addy used toothpicks and sunflower seeds to create. Our foster cat, Bella Blu, loves to follow Addy around and vice versa. Here they were tearing apart a "Make your own card" kit!

What do you mean I am not two yet?
Addyson Andrews discovered the box of birthday supplies the other night. I think she is anxious for her 2nd birthday. March 21st isn't that far away. This year is going to be an Elmo theme the box she opened was last years theme. Her Auntie Karen has showered her with many Elmo gifts. Elmo was one of her first words. So Elmo it is!

Today we went to the Fredonia, AZ library for the story book hour and crafts. Addy had a great time although I could never get a good photo of her!

Happy Birthday Mary! Looks like you had a great group of friends and a nice bottle of wine! Yum. I LOVE the photo of you and dad. You both look fabulous and I cannot wait to see you this summer.

Valentines Day Retreat. St. George Utah and Snow Canyon State Park. We also stopped by a very cool place called Jumpin Jacks. It is filled with blow up slides and play areas. Addy was totally freaked when we walked in - they had some of the lights off for some reason and there was a 20 ft blow up dinasoaur slowly bobbing and swaying. As soon as Daron started running around and jumping on the equipment Addy took off like a lighting bolt. She followed all the hyper crazy boys and wanted to climb up the tallest slides. Dad and I were sucking wind chasing her around the place and making sure she didn't get squished by a big kid! Oddly enough she didn't sleep very well that night. Maybe the shingles are still hurting her!

Addyson and her buddy Isabella attended Fredonia, AZ Library Reading Hour. They thought it was great (and so did the Mommies). After listening to the stories they made Valentines Day cards and decorated brownies.

She seemed intrigued with a little boy who brought her a stool to sit on. So sweet.

I got two packages from Mimi and Papa and one from Auntie Karen!Cookie Monster socks that she is wearing are from Karen, Puzzle and A your Adorable book is from MiMi. Below Addy gets a journal from my Dad (her PaPa) that has photographs from their visit last summer.

Thanks Uncle Dan for my beautiful pink stripey outfit! I look absolutely adorable in it :)

I love this photo of my parents! They are enjoying a meal at a restaurant in Florida and welcoming my moms cousins friend to Boynton Beach. What a cute welcoming committee!

Jan 31, 2010 Yes our 22 month old daughter has shingles. It sucks. She cannot tell us specifically when she is in pain although she does yell "noooo" when (we assume) she is hurting. She had a stomach bug in December and a cold in January so I am assuming her immune system was weak. She never has had chicken pox but she did have the vaccine in June. Hmmm. The dermatologist gave her an antiviral medication but she threw it up so we have been giving her childrens tylenol for the pain. I think it helps a little. She can at least get a few hours of sleep. I also spoke with our pediatrician since everyone told us "She cannot have shingles." The pediatrician didn't think she had it but saw the photos and changed her mind. It is a classic case. The rash didn't seem to bother her it was the underlying pain that was the worst.
