Well, despite the movers coming 3 days late and moving me at midnight I made it to Kanab. Rodeo and I had a pretty easy three day drive. We stayed at an icky motel in Amarillo but luckily I had a comforter and pillow so we didn't touch anything! Our second night in New Mexico was much nicer and much cleaner. Everyone was dog friendly charging an extra $5 for the dog. Whooo hoooo.
I love my job. So far I have taken a group of twenty ladies from all over the US and Canada around the sanctuary. They were here for one week learning how to start their own sanctuary. I spent three days with Girl Scouts and their chaperons (spelling?) we volunteered in the Bunny, Dogs, Cats and Horse areas. I learned as much as they did! Last week we went to Page Arizona and read stories, sang songs and taugh kids about companion animals. Every day we have a vegetarian buffet for $4. YUMMY. I really look forward to it and our cafeteria looks over the canyon. BEAUTIFUL.
Daron and I have been working on the house we are renting and he is getting the 1/2 acre backyard in shape. Dan and Antonio came in from California last weekend for a short but fun visit. He also hung a hummingbird feeder which has attracted quiet a few birds. We have been painting the interior and trying to clean it up a bit. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary yesterday and had a nice meal at the Rocking V Cafe. We also fed the horses next door. I hope we have visitors soon. It is lovely here and the weather is great. No humidity and we have the windows open ALL THE TIME!!!
